ACID STAIN

Create beautiful, unique designer floors with our EAGLE ACID STAINS!

EAGLE ACID STAIN adds stunning, varied color to existing concrete. The exceptional colors generated through acid staining are permanent and will last a lifetime.

ACID STAIN is produced in 14 stylish colors (see color chart) and creates varied color patterns on concrete by chemicals reacting with the cement on the surface of the substrate. Every concrete floor contains different amounts of minerals and varying porosity, resulting in more vibrant colorations and shades on the same floor. No two floors will ever look alike! The mottled, and varied, appearance of acid stained floors is one of the main reasons acid stained finishes have so much appeal.

The process is somewhat labor intense, but the gorgeous end result and the many compliments you’ll receive from your hard work is well worth the effort!

NET COVERAGE RATE: 200 sq. ft. – 400 sq. ft.

ACID STAIN coverage is dependent on several factors: age, porosity, weather, and composition of the concrete. A definite coverage rate is difficult to determine because every scenario is different.

However, as a general rule, 200 - 400 sq. ft. per gallon should be averaged. If diluted (dilute with water ONLY) 1:1, coverage should yield approx. 600 - 800 sq. ft. per gallon.

COLOR CONSIDERATION

Keep in mind, if you dilute the ACID STAIN the ending color will vary and may not be as vibrant or intense. Also, because mineral content in concrete is different with every substrate, the final color will always slightly vary from the color chart. We always recommend using a small test spot to ensure the color is to your liking before applying to the entire surface.
